Responsibilities of governor in kerala:
He will be the Head of State, As Chancellor for Universities and Head in other Organisations
The Governor’s responsibilities as the Head of the State as enacted in “The Constitution of India” is given as follows.
The power of Governor’s is in these articles
Article 160: President Power to discharge of the functions of the Governor of a State
Article 161: power to grant pardons, reprieves, etc.
Article 163: Council of Ministers & Chief Minister help in the exercise of his functions
Article 164: Appoints Chief Minister and other Ministers.
Article 165: Appoints the Advocate General for the State.
Article 166: All executive actions name of Governor.
Article 174: Dissolve the Legislative Assembly.
Article 175: Address the Legislative Assembly& messages to House.
Article 176: Special Address to the House by the Governor.
Article 200: Assents, withholds assent, or reserves the Bill passed by the Legislative assembly.
Article 202: related to estimated receipts and expenditure.
Article 203(3): No demand for a grant
Article 205: The Governor shall ……..cause to be laid before the House
Article 213: promulgate the Ordinances under certain circumstances.
Article 217: consulted for appointment of Judges of High Court., oath

- Chancellor of all the Universities in Kerala
- Takes his own decisions on all University matters.
- Appointment of the Vice-Chancellors,
